How We Prepare Your Car

Most of our cars are main dealer part exchanges or bought from private customers. On initially taking the car in we do a specification sheet on the car and have a look at the reconditioning of the car. Should the vehicle need an alloy wheel refurbishment or a smart repair we book this in to be done.

Once any preparation works have been carried out the car then goes to the valeter’s and receives a full valet. After this it is photograph time.
The car then gets loaded on to our website and the advertising portals.

The car then gets outsourced to one of our preferred mechanics and they carry out an 84-point inspection. If the car has less than 6 months MOT we carry out a new MOT on the car. If the car needs a service, we also carry this out to. The mechanics look at brakes, discs, tyres etc. If the tyres have less than 3mm on the car we will replace them.

Each car that is not under manufacturer’s warranty comes with a 6-month Gold warranty. This does not cover wear and tear items, i.e. bulbs, tyres, wipers, hoses but does include mechanical failing items. The car can be taken to any VAT registered garage and diagnosis is carried out. Diagnosis is not included but generally most garages encompass this into the job as it is normally a plug-in diagnostic computer. It is best to check this. They then ring through for authorisation. The work gets authorised and the job gets carried out. This is a UK only warranty and any work carried out prior to obtaining authorisation will not be paid for.

When a customer comes in they are given the opportunity to have a look at the car, drive the car (a copy of your driving licence will be taken for insurance reasons) and have a look at the paperwork. If the customer is happy with every aspect of the car they can then choose to drive the car away there and then after organising their insurance. With the DVLA’s new site we can register and tax the car prior to you driving it away.
